Acute and sub-chronic oral toxicity studies of “Tri 02” powder in experimental animals

This study aims to assess the acute and sub-chronic oral toxicity of “Tri 02” powder in experimental animals. According World Health Organization Guidance, was conducted using Swiss mice. LD50 determined by Litchfield-Wilcoxon method, at two doses (2.4 g/kg b.w/day 7.2 b.w/day) assessed Wistar rats for four uninterrupted weeks. Abnormal behavior, toxic symptoms, death were observed 7 consecutive days effects toxicity. The general behavior daily, their body weight recorded weekly. Hematological analysis biochemical before treatment, 2 4 weeks treatment. Macroscopic examination histopathological several organs end treatment period. results suggested that highest dose used mice (187.5 b.w) did not show determined.
